I can't believe this has yet to be reviewed (5 stars)
I generally don't like "Best Of" discs because it ignores the artist's concept of the album as the end product. That being said, a "Best Of" can be helpful to introducing an artist to someone who may not have invested the time and energy in individual albums. This compilation is a good introduction and career overview to the wonderful music of this enormously influential group. This was the group, along with Bob Dylan

Nothing to say but wow... (5 stars)
My father introduced me to The Band, and at first I thought they sounded just like the Dead. But now I realize that they are very different, and in an astonishingly awesome way. This is a good album, but I personally think The Last Waltz is the most amazing thing ever. They bring an old soul to new music. Garth is phenominal on the keys, and Levon is a wonderful vocalist. Nothing else to say but wow...
