They dominated my speakers for years, but I can’t keep adding these songs my playlists. Unfortunately the days of Stay Gold, Confidence and Still Gold are over. The downhill transition started with Consequence and was pretty much complete by Fool’s Gold Pt. 1. I heard this EP would feature more of their older sound, and despite trying to mix in the reggae/rock beats Getting back to their roots! (5 stars) I’ve been a Holdup fan since Stay Gold, and called them my favorite band for a number of years - but Fool’s Gold Part 1 was not The Holdup to me. I always listened to them for bumping in the car with the windows down during summertime. It really pleases me to hear this EP get back to positive vibes and catchy choruses. Great job guys! Dayumm (5 stars) Best material they've ever written. Something obviously changed for the better.
