It is very orchestral, and up to par with John Williams style. It is upsetting that the 2 disc soundtrack is only available digitally in the United States, so if you’re looking to buy this physically, you need to buy it from Amazon or eBay as an import. I will definitely be picking this one up. $20 for a 2 disc soundtrack by one of the greatest, is a very good deal to Epic! (5 stars) The opening 4 tracks on this score play as if this was a David Lean and Maurice Jarre collaboration (Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago). For quite some time, films have been missing purely epic scores that take the audience to another time and place. For nearly 20 minutes of Giacchino’s four “Jupiter Ascending Movements”, he does just that. Every time (4 stars) I really want to hate Giacchino's work sometimes because it all sounds the same, his popularity is exaggerated, he's overused by every director and he doesn't really have decent themes. There's always some reason for me to not like his work... and then there's that ONE track. It always happens.
