Afraid to go new directions, bands turn out regurgitated versions of their early success. The Mavericks are quite the excperion. Hey, they are Mavericks! Over the past 25 years, this group has morphed from Country, to Pop to now what I can best describe as the Cuban Big Band sound, without losing a single loyal fan along the journey. Mono is an extension an Curious (4 stars) This is good solid music. Sample it, maybe you remember the Mavericks, and you will love their new direction. I didn’t know them before today. What has me curious is people who say “This is country?” and leave a review at that. What a waste of space. Can people just learn to review the music or not?!?! For the record, I would classify this rockabilly which falls under the category of country music, but it could totally be a genre of ro Cannot get enough of this band!
