Verve Remixed: The First Ladies (1 star)
This is the worst bastardization I have ever heard. "Mixing" techno noise with classic songs performed by legendary voices is a total unimaginable, hideous, ludicrous farce. The only reason it has a star is because the review would not submit without any.

Disco danny dingbat destroys great music. (1 star)
Hearing the constant dull thud disco remix is a sham to the great artists like Ella,Astrud and Dinah Washington. I wanted to give a lower rating,like 1/2 skronk not star.

It is easy to criticize. And it is very hard to create. Especially, when the material you work with is a classic collection of golden songs of pop music. The problem with remixing this kind of material is that you have to really understand and feel the original you work with, which is so amazingly far stylistically from what you will apply to it.
