Biography
South Korean singer, dancer, and actor Lee Taemin (also known simply as Taemin) is a hip-hop and R&B-influenced performer best known as a member of the K-pop boy band Shinee. Born in Seoul in 1993, Taemin first came to the public's attention after joining Shinee in 2008. Along with touring and recording with the group, Taemin has acted in several television shows and voiced the character of Johnny the Koala in the 2011 animated feature film The Outback. In 2014 Taemin released his debut solo EP, Ace, featuring the single "Danger." Film and television work followed before the eventual arrival of his first full-length, 2016's Press It. Featuring songwriting by Bruno Mars ("Press Your Number") and Shinee bandmate Jonghyun ("Already"), the album topped the Korean charts upon its release. That same year, he unveiled his first foray into the Japanese market with Sayonara Hitori (Solitary Goodbye). A Korean version of the EP was also released in his home country, spawning the hit single "Goodbye." ~ Matt Collar & Neil Z. Yeung.
